Belva Plain - 1919 |

I. Biography Belva Plain was born in New York City in the year of 1919. She has lived in New Jersey for over 51 years. She started writing at a very early age; in fact, her first
short story was published when she was twenty-five. From that moment on she kept writing for publication. She graduated from Barnard as a history major and
married a doctor, Irving Plain to whom she was happily married to for over 40 years until his death over fifteen years ago. They had three children. Taking care of a husband and three
children did not give Plain much time to work on her writing. She now enjoys her time with her nearby children and grandchildren at her home in New Jersey.
Despite being born in New York, Belva Plain primarily wrote all of her works at her home in New Jersey. II. List of Works Evergreen (1978) (The Werner Family Saga)
